Alcohol company printed the Saudi flag on its bottles

As the FIFA World cup 2018 approaches, all the major brands try different marketing strategies to increase their sales by entertaining the Football fans. This year, the Saudi Arabia’s team qualified for the FIFA world cup after failing to qualify for both the 2010 and 2014 FIFA world cup.

A German brewing company, EICHBAUM, for years have been putting all 32 qualified countries’ flags on their bottles has this year put Saudi Arabia’s flag which contains the Muslim Statement of Faith translated “There is no God but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of God” on their bottles as well.

Muslims are not allowed by religion to drink alcoholic beverages and therefore Muslims tend to avoid Alcohol and thus putting the Muslim Statement of Faith on Alcohol bottles is a very insulting and offensive step by the German company.

The company’s intention may not have been to insult Muslims but the Muslims are very hurt regardless and demanding steps against it or they will boycott this year’s football world cup though Saudi Arabia has shown no interest in the matter as of yet.
