We’ve all watched a number of high school movies and quite honestly most of them feel the same if not all of them, so full of the same old high school cliches, the house parties and the proms with close to no originality. But every now and again they come up with some high school movies that are not to be missed and are absolute must see high school movies.



Here’s a list of must see high school movies

1) Pump Up the Volume (1990)

Mark, a shy high school kid sets up a pirate radio station and speaks his heart out with the alias name “Hard Harry” and catches the attention of all the kids of his high school who in real life don’t even acknowledge his presence.

 

2) 21 Jump Street (2012)

The extremely hilarious duo of Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, two best friends goes back to high school again as under cover cops but both end up making friends with different set of groups which turns out to be a major setback in their investigation.

 

 

3) The Edge of Seventeen (2016)

The only person that makes high school life bearable for Nadine is her best friend Krista but things get awkward and life becomes more unbearable for Nadine when Krista starts dating Nadine’s brother .

 

 

4) Heathers (1988)

Heathers, another Christian Slater movie, in this movie Christian Slater plays the sociopath boyfriend of Veronica, a popular girl and together they plot to kill the other popular kids.

5) Dazed and Confused (1993)

An absolute classic high school movie showing the 70’s hippie scene of American high schools and the hazing, bullying, partying and getting high that came along.

 

 

6) 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)

Kat Stratford a high school girl who lives in isolation from the other high school kids with her sister being the complete opposite of her gets a hard time from her sister when their dad makes the rule that says that she can’t date until Kat gets a boyfriend.

 

7) The Breakfast Club (1985)

The Breakfast Club, one of the most loved high school movie of all time. An extremely simple yet equally meaningful movie with five students facing detention, a nerd, a jock, the famous girl, a socially awkward introvert and the school rebel with all five characters showing the difficulties they face.

 

8) The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of the best high school movie you’ll ever see. The movie is about a high school kid Charlie who has trouble fitting in everywhere but when for the first time he finally feels like he belong with his newly found friends, they get ready to for college and again leaving Charlie alone.
